Nurturing peace through sound and meditation.
Emora Suara is dedicated to creating safe spaces for relaxation, peace, healing, and meditation through sound.

Awakening wellness with the power of sound.
What is a sound bath?
Sound baths are a therapeutic and meditative experience where you are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself!

'Emora' is my surname and initials and 'suara' translates to ‘voice’ or ‘sound’ in bahasa, the primary language of Indonesia, where my heritage resides.
How Do Sound Baths Work?
In a controlled environment, sound vibrations resonate at specific frequencies that support the body and guide the mind into deeper states of consciousness, promoting healing and inner peace. Through these sounds and vibrations, your mind enters a meditative and relaxed state, whereby your brainwave state is entrained with the frequencies of the instruments from the normal waking state (beta) to a relaxed state (alpha), dream-like state (theta), or even restorative sleep state (delta). As the mind and body relax, the heart rate and blood pressure decrease and breathing becomes deeper. This brings about re-balancing and healing at mental, emotional, and physical levels. Our bodies continually endure heightened stress levels from busy lifestyles and external pressures. Sound vibrations lower this baseline, facilitating the body's transition into a parasympathetic state, the healing state.
What to expect?
Grounding
During the sessions, you lie on a comfortable mat with a blanket and pillow. We start with normal breathing or guided meditation to anchor ourselves in the present moment.
Experience
I use various instruments to create sounds & frequencies where you will feel the vibrations flow through your mind and body. Certain emotions or feelings may surface during your session, which is a natural process as your body listens and releases.
Closure
Towards the end of the session, I will hold you in silence and gently guide you back to awareness and slow movement. We will take a few cleansing breaths together, and then conclude the session with gratitude.
About Me
I am deeply passionate about holding safe spaces in sound and conscious silence for relaxation, peace, healing and meditation. My journey into sound goes back to mya ancestral roots, through my parents who are from North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
FAQs
-
Sound baths are suitable for anyone looking to recharge and de-stress. However, they are not recommended for individuals with pacemakers, severe heart conditions, or a history of seizures. If you have serious mental health concerns, please consult your primary doctor before attending.

Sessions are typically 60 minutes unless stated otherwise on the event page.

All the instruments produce varying levels of sound and resonance depending on their size, material, and how they are played. Typically, they generate soothing, resonant tones that can range from soft and gentle to moderately loud. The sound level can be influenced by the force used to strike or play the bowl, as well as the acoustics of the surrounding environment. Through the way I have been taught, my sessions are designed to provide a calming auditory experience without overwhelming noise.

I suggest bringing your own blanket, pillow & eyemask, as these aren’t always provided. Wear comfortable clothing and choose how you’d like to experience the session. Relaxation might lower your body temperature slightly, so having a blanket handy is a good idea.
